By petite, I mean much smaller than most of the antique buttons I have used in the past for pendants. The buttons in this collection are about the size of an Australian 2.00 coin, see photos for size reference. With this piece, the vintage button features a classic pattern, which I’ve “Colour Washed”  it in shades of hot pink, butterscotch and purple. I then burnish back the colour to achieve an “old world” look/patina. Set as always in solid sterling silver, this can be worn with a silver chain, (included) black leather cord or pearls. Antique Buttons: Most Antique buttons were manufactured in Europe by master craftsmen and are beautifully detailed and well made. The buttons I’ve used in this collection are a combination of metals such as steel, silver, copper, pewter or brass. I have sourced the buttons in France, England and South America, hand selected for their uniqueness & interest. I have “Colour Washed” the buttons with a permanent metal paint, which is similar to an enamel. Each pendant is a one of a kind treasure.
